Pan Bole

Student: Guangzhou Tianhe Foreign Language School

Hi, nice to meet you! I am Bole Pan, a student from Guangzhou Tianhe Foreign Language School, China. It is my honor to be chosen as one of the finalists in the Stockholm Junior Water Prize. President Xi Jinping once said: Harmless nature means endless treasure. With the rapid development of the economy, the environment and natural resources are somehow ignored in some areas. I realize that I have the responsibility to contribute to our environment and our earth. I am looking forward to meeting you!

Tell us what the water concern in your country is!

Nowadays, China is paying more attention to protecting the environment, especially water. But there are still some problems. Firstly, because of the geographical conditions, there is an uneven distribution of water resources in China. The western region is lacking water resources. Secondly, some companies discharge polluted water in the river and even the sea. Thirdly, with the rapid development of animal husbandry, the amount of manure is increasing at an incredible rate. If we don’t find an efficient way to deal with the manure, it will cause water eutrophication. Last but not least, in some poor regions, people put the waste in the river without understanding the importance of protecting the water.
