Greetings from Ukraine! I’m Oleksandr Tromsa, 17 years old. I’m 11th grade student at Kalynivka lyceum (Kyiv region).
I am interested in all disciplines. I have repeatedly won school subject competitions at the district and regional levels. My most favorite subjects are chemistry, English, biology, physics, geography, astronomy, and mathematics. I have a talent for mechanics, engineering and design.
I have been practicing judo since early childhood. As a result became an all-Ukrainian judo champion, a prize-winner of the Open European Judo Tournament, a prize-winner of the Ukrainian Championship, and a multiple winner and prize-winner of the Kyiv region in judo.
Air strikes and shelling destroyed or damaged industrial facilities across Ukraine, contaminating soil and water resources through leakage of hazardous substances. People are forced to consume potentially unsafe water from the centralized water supply system, wells and rivers with the risk of waterborne infectious, non-communicable diseases and poisoning.
This is what I think is one of the solutions for a sustainable future:Surface water is currently the source of domestic, industrial and household water supply. Improving the ecological status of water bodies has a direct impact on the health of people. Measures that investigate and influence the state of water bodies should have the highest priorities in the global society.
