Miguel Aragón Fernández

Student: Colegio Maristas Santa María

I am a 17 year old student from Ourense, in Galicia, Spain.

I love travelling with my family and discovering other cultures. Music is my main hobby, I actually play the guitar with some friends in a small band. Besides, I like swimming and playing basketball in my free time, to have a break when I have to study.

When I was younger I used to think i would be a good lawyer but today I am sure that my dream is to be a prominet scientific or even a good doctor.

Tell us what the water concern in your country is!

Water in Spain is consider almost the most important resource, because of the dry weather conditions we have in our country, especially in the south. Besides, in our city and in our culture water has a lot of connotations. Actually our ancestors thought that water carried the power of God, so we have a lot of respect for water and we try to keep it clean and to preserve its quality.

This is what I think is one of the solutions for a sustainable future:

We believe that the solutions for the water problems might be in the education of young generations, not only in finding solutions to eliminate residues. If we decrease the amount of plastics, wet wipes, and other residues we produce, we will be able to improve our quality life and to contribute to heal our planet. Still, in our project we tried to find an ecological way to eliminate residues such as wet wipes, in order to get rid of the side effects of the recycling plants and landfills.
