Hello! My Name’s Laura Bauer. I’m 18 years old and have just graduated from high school this summer. I am interested in all kinds of natural sciences, which is why I am part of the research group at my former high school.
My hobbies are science (of course), reading (preferably fantasy), drawing and sports (and also a lot of other things but these three are the most important). I love spending time in Nature as well, for example hiking or walking out my dog. This is also one of the reasons why the preservation of nature and its biodiversity is very important to me.
Tell us what the water concern in your country is!
Switzerland is known as "Europe's water castle", because the highest amounts of precipitation in Europe fall here feeding important lakes and rivers like the Rhine. However, in recent years, the frequency and magnitude of flooding have increased and caused significant damages. This is likely to even increase in the future.
From where comes your interest in water?I have read and seen a lot about global water pollution. This has raised my awareness for the importance of water. Furthermore, I am part of a research group at our high school, which is why I have worked a lot with water before.
