Joe Thompson

Student: Liverpool Life Sciences UTC

Hello my name is Joe Thompson and I live in the north west of England. Growing up, science has always intrigued me, the happiness that one gains from discovering something new was overwhelming to me. When i am older, my dream occupation would be to study cosmology and work as a theoretical physicist, as physics is a strong passion of mine. Furthermore, I enjoy sports, particularly football, and since I am from Liverpool, I support Liverpool. Thank you for reading.

My project

Tell us what the water concern in your country is!

From my personal perspective, I am not aiming to mitigate or solve problems in my own country, I am looking for generalizable applications for the world. The main problem in my opinion would be water pollution. particularly micro-plastic pollution due to the accumulation in the Eco system.

This is what I think is one of the solutions for a sustainable future:

A form of mass industrial filtering system in LIC's, NEE's and HIC's, which eliminates all pollutants exiting our cities, therefore we are not damaging our environment as much. Furthermore, as part of this process i believe there should be more governmental regulation and much more in depth environmental safety checks before a project can go ahead.
