Hava Herman

Student: Horev High School for Girls

Hello! I’m Hava Herman, I live in Jerusalem, Israel. I enjoy art and literature, playing the piano and expanding my knowledge. I do so by participating in competitions, seminars and courses. Throughout high school I have been active and volunteered in youth groups, mentored FLL teams, and conducted certain school programs. In the future, I hope to join and contribute to the scientific world.

Tell us what the water concern in your country is!

Israel, like many other countries, is dealing with growing problems of water scarcity and environmental pollution. These are consequences of global warming, pollution, population growth, and mostly long droughts.

From where comes your interest in water?

Ever since I was little, i have been aware of water problems. I remember a project in which I designed a house where all the water would be recycled. Since then my interest in the field has continued to increase.

This is what I think is one of the solutions for a sustainable future:

Development of adequate water resource management programs which combine natural water sources, new water supplies, and pollution prevention, is one of the solutions for a sustainable future.
