My name is Guilherme Catharino. I’m from Brazil. I am 17 years old, and in 2017 I finished high school and in this year of 2018 I will finish my technical course in electronics. In this second semester of 2018 I started my college in Electrical Engineering.
I am very interested in the areas of exact sciences and electronics and electrical are the areas that I intend to follow for the rest of my professional life. I like to use my knowledge in these areas to solve problems that I visualize in the daily life of society.
Tell us what the water concern in your country is!
In Brazil the problems vary from region to region. The northern and northeastern region of Brazil suffers with water scarcity. This is a region in Brazil where the rains are not very constant, which results in this problem. One problem that affects almost all of Brazil's regions is basic sanitation.
From where comes your interest in water? The interest in water and in developing projects in this area arose in the year 2015. The state where I live (São Paulo - one of the largest states in Brazil) suffered a strong water crisis, which was generating water scarcity in several localities, including where I lived and studied.
This is what I think is one of the solutions for a sustainable future:In my point of view the main solution for a sustainable future is education. We need to create a culture of sustainability, especially with children who are the future of the planet. Classes in schools about conscious consumption of water, the environment, are fundamental for a more sustainable future.
