Hello everyone. My name is Dasha, I’m 16 years old. I live in a pretty small Mari El republic in Russia.
I study at Polytechnic boarding lyceum in specialized class, where we mostly focus on chemistry and biology. I spend pretty much all of me spare time studying, but when I got a minute I like to draw, read and swim a lot.
I, just like many people all around the world, am concerned about the issue of the water pollution. Perhaps, it’s important to mention that I’m planning on becoming a doctor and so I think that ecology is not only a nature health but a human health too.
Tell us what the water concern in your country is!All the causes of water pollution in Russia (as well as in other regions of the world) are related to humans. Wastewater, industrial waste, agriculture, oil producing and processing waste, solid waste and litter are the reasons for the water pollution in our country. Governments can solve these problems!
This is what I think is one of the solutions for a sustainable future:We have a lot of water problems all around the world, indeed. But nowadays it's a hot topic, and highlighting a problem helps to solve it so I think we're moving in the right direction. It's particularly pleasing to realise that the water pollution is an interesting topic for young people. And I'm sincerely grateful for the work Junior Water Prize is doing by involving our generation in such serious subject. We are young and youth is the future!
