Student: Birshereshtha Noor Mohammad Public College

Born into poverty, my insatiable curiosity ignited a passion for science and problem-solving. I fearlessly embraced challenges, finding solace in the natural world and its boundless wonders. Guided by an innate sense of freedom, I honed my skills in math, physics, and computer science, laying the foundation for innovative projects. Witnessing my mother’s daily struggle to obtain clean water inspired me to embark on a mission to solve the water crisis. With unwavering determination, I merged creativity and scientific expertise, harnessing nature’s secrets to create a sustainable solution. This is the story of an adventurous spirit, driven to transform dreams into reality, ensuring that every person has access to life’s most precious resource: clean and abundant water.

Tell us what the water concern in your country is!

In water-scarce Bangladesh, rivers turned saline and groundwater tainted by arsenic, 70 million people suffer. They embark on endless journeys, walking miles for a drop of clean water. A crisis grips the nation, yearning for respite from this thirst that knows no end.

This is what I think is one of the solutions for a sustainable future:

In a world of scarcity, I created a solar-powered marvel. Using abundant sunlight and activated carbon from coconut shells, I designed a water purification system. It conquers the salinity challenge and overcomes arsenic contamination, offering sustainable relief to those in need of clean water.
